T oday wasn’t really about going out to get photos for my project, it was more about just going to the park to enjoy the sun but of course, I brought my camera with me just in case.
I met my friend at Regents Park and we just wandered around for ages. It was one of those really cold crisp Sunday afternoons, perfect Winter park weather! There weren’t many people around which was a little surprising given how nice the weather was. There were a few rugby and football teams training around the park which made it a little busier in places, but apart from that it was really nice and quiet.
It was really nice to just walk and chat, and take the occasional photo of course. We wandered up towards to the Zoo, and just found a bench to sit on for a while and people watch – literally one of my favourite things to do. London has so many different types of people and sometimes it’s just really interesting to just sit and watch. I definitely at some point want to do a project focussed on the massive diversity of people in and around the city. I think it would be such an interesting thing to do.
Anyway, back to sunny Regents Park. We eventually dragged ourselves away from people watching and started to head back. It was starting to get dark so we decided to try and find a cafe in the park to get a hot drink or something. Of course, being a Sunday, everything closed at 4 so instead we went back to my friends for a proper English cuppa.
It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
